Inspiring One......

A few years ago, at the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all physically or mentally disabled, assembled at the starting line for the 100-yard dash. At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with relish to run the race to the finish and win. All, that is, except one little boy who stumbled on the asphalt, tumbled over a couple of times, and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry.

They slowed down and looked back. Then they all turned around and went back......every one of them. One girl with Down's Syndrome bent down and kissed him and said, "This will make it better." Then all nine linked arms and walked together to the finish line. Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes.

Sarfaroshi Ki Tamanna Ab Hamare Dil Mein Hai

Hai liye hathiyaar dushman taak mein baitha udhar
aur hum taiyyaar hain seena liye apna idhar

Hum to ghar se nikle hi the baandhkar sar pe qafan
chaahatein liin bhar liye lo bhar chale hain ye qadam
zindagi to apni mehmaan maut ki mehfil mein hai
sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai

Dil mein tuufaanon ki toli aur nason mein inquilaab
hosh dushman ke udaa denge humein roko na aa
duur reh paaye jo humse dam kahaan manzil mein hai
sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamaare dil mein hai - 2

there are 2 kinds of patriots...
1. seasonal
2. permanent

1. seasonals say ill do as much as i can in my limit. i will give this
much. ill do that much. but cant go beyond this one.

2. parmenants doesnt know any limit. did bhagat singh set limit line
for himself? had he and other freedom fighters set limitline for
themselves would we have got freedom?

freedom movement is fought by few upright, determined ppl. it was
never fought by masses. by seeing these upright determined ppl those
with bend spine gets kick and they stand straight... otherwise they
are bended... handful of steadfast ppl move the masses...

there 2 kinds of traitors
1. active
2. passives

1. active: who sell thier motherland in open. i.e. you can see it in
parliament
2. passive: who see that happening and does nothing...

Sainik Geet

Sathi ghar jakar mat kahana,

Ghar ka deep bujha dena.

Sathi ghar jakar mat kahana,
Sanketon se samajha dena.

Bapu agar jo puchhe mere,
Ankhen nam dikhala dena,

Dayin bhuja gira dena.

Sathi ghar jakar mat kahana,
Sanketon se samajha dena.

Bhai agar jo puchhe mera,
Ankhen nam dikhala dena,

Bayin bhuja gira dena.

Sathi ghar jakar mat kahana,

Ek din main Dilli pahuncha

Ek din, mein dilli pahuncha,

Station pe ek coolie se bahar jane ka rasta
pooncha,
Coolie ne kaha bahar jaake poocho.
Maine khud hi rasta doondh liya,
Bahar jaake taxiwale se pooncha,
"bhai saab Aagre ka kitna loge?"
jawab mila, "bechna nahi hai.."
Taxi chod, maine bus pakad li,
conductor se pooncha,

"ji.. kya mein cigarette pi sakta hoon?"
wo gurrra kar bola,
"hargiz nahi, yaha cigarette pina mana hai."
Maine kaha, "par wo janab to pi rahe hai!"
Phir se gurrrraya, " usne mujhse pooncha nahi
hai."Aagre pahucha, hotel gaya.
Manager se kaha, " mujhe room chahiye, satve
manzil pe." Manager ne kaha,
"rahane ke liye ya koodne ke liye?"
Room pahucha, waiter se kaha,
"ek paani ka gilas milega." Usne jawab diya,
"nahi sahab, yaha to saare
kanch ke milte hai."
Hotel se nikla dost ke ghar jaane ke liye,
Raste me ek sahab se pooncha, "janab, ye
sadak kaha ko jaati hai?"
Janab hans kar bole, " peechle bis saal se
dekh rahan hoon, yahi padi hai...."

Dost ke ghar pahucha, to mujhe dekhte hi
chownk pada Usne poocha,
"dilli kaise aana hua?" Ab tak to mujhe bhi
aadat pad gayi thi, Maine
bhi jawab diya, "Train se.."
Meri aaobhagat karne ke liye dost ne apni
biwi se kaha, "areeee sunti
ho... mera dost pehli baar ghar aaya hai,
uuse kuch taja taja khilao..
"sunte hi bhabhiji ne ghar ki sari khidkiya
aur darwaje khol diye.
Kaha, "taji hawa kha lijiye."
Dost ne phir se badi pyar se biwi se kaha,
"areeee sunti ho...inhe jara apna chalis saal
purana aachar to dikhana."
Bhabiji ek batli me rakha aachar le aayi,
Maine bhi apnapan dikhate hue bhabiji se
kaha, "bhabhiji, aachar sirf dikhayengi,
chakhayengi nahi....?"
Bhabiji ne taak jawab diya,
"yuhi agar sab ko chakhati
to aachar chalis saal
purana kaise hota..?"
Thodi der baad dekha,
bhabiji apne pote ko soola rahi thi,
Saath me lori bhi ga rahi thi,
"diploma so ja, diploma so ja."
Lori soon mein hairan hua aur dost se poocha,
"yaar ye diploma kya hai?"
Dost ne jawab diya,
"mere pote ka naam, Beti bambai gayi thi,
diploma lene ke liye aur saath mein ise le aayi,
isiliye hamne iska naam diploma rakh diya."
Phir maine pooncha,
"aajkal tumhari beti kya kar rahi hai?"
Dost ne jawab diya,
"bambai gayi hai, degree lene ke liye...."

An unforgettable Sunday.......................

This sunday i can not forget. Starting as an average day but ending was full of glorious past. Afternoon was full of clouds in the sky. I like it most(the rainy season). Whenever there are clouds in the sky i forget everything.I can not control myself. My heart goes on. so enjoying this weather i planned to explore the indian history with my room mets. They are always ready. So we planned to go to GolKunda Fort(Hyderabad), a marvellous past of india. when we start our journey there was liitle showering. We enjoyed this in the auto rikshaw. After half an hour we were in the lap of indian history. starting main to aisa laga ki kahan aa ke fans gaye kyunki badal bhi gayab ho gaye the. But as we start everything was in our favour. We searched all the places there. Lots of photography........................
Then we come to the place from where we can see whole twin city. This was the place where the king used to come with his Queen(s). kya thandi hawa uuummm. Maja aa gaya. kisi ka bhi wahan se uthne ka man hi nahin kar raha tha.So after trying very hard we plan to go down but once again we all set on the stairs. photography there. then we planned that we will come back here and we should go now because we were having something that is no where in india. The LIGHT and SOUND show in the voice of Amitabh Bachchan. This light show dragged us to the rich indian history. The show was to start at 7:00 p.m. but we reached there at 6:15 itself. There were many people from all the communities.Hindu ladies in simple Sarees,Muslim ladies in black gowns, Parsian ladies in pink gowns, foreigner in their cool dresses. Then there was well famous voice, yup u r right this was Amitabh. then he started to open old papers of indian history. everybody was bound in this event. Realy great show that i have ever seen. He describe the history of GolKonda fort in his( bachchan) style.
After this show(at 8:00) rain starts again. we caught an auto and come to our dens.

Nice Place is Hyderabad.Ek baar to mere man main khayal aya ki yahin sattle ho jata hun.

Richness Of India.....Continue

Captain Saurabh Kalia: first hero of Kargil war

Born in Palampur district in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, Captain Saurabh Kalia was brilliant in academics and effortlessly secured scholarships throughout his schooling years. After completing his graduation in May 1997, Saurabh was selected in the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun in August 1997, through the Combined Defence Services and was commissioned on December 12, 1998.

Lt. Saurabh was posted with the 4 JAT Regiment (Infantry) in the Kargil Sector. In the first fortnight of May 1999, he went out for Patrol Duty three times to check the infiltration in the Kaksar area of Kargil. Lt. Saurabh was hailed as the First Officer to give information of the large-scale intrusion of the Pakistan Army and infilitrators in the area.
After the intrusion was detected in area, his Commanding Officer deputed a slightly older Junior Officer to check the strategic Bajrang Post. Lt. Saurabh, however, volunteered to go there himself and went in place of the deputed officer. Here, the troops were fired upon by the enemy. These brave Indian soldiers kept fighting as reinforcements couldn't reach in the day, any movement in the daylight would come under the direct enemy fire.

The Indian troops ran out of ammunition, their signal instrument went out of order and finally they got encircled by about 200 Pakistan soldiers and were captured alive, before the reinforcement reached at that height.

No trace of this entire patrol was left and Skardu Radio of Pakistan reported that Lt. Saurabh Kalia and his five men were captured alive. They were in their captivity for over twenty-two (May 15,1999 to June 6-7, 1999) days and subjected to unprecedented brutal torture as evident from their bodies handed over by Pakistan Army on June 9,1999. They did not break while undergoing this unlimited barbarism. This speaks volumes of their patriotism, grit, determination, tenacity and valour and the whole nation is proud of them.

The enemy indulged in the most heinous act of burning their bodies with cigarettes, piercing ear-drums with hot rods, removing eyes, chopping off various limbs and organs of these soldiers besides inflicting all sorts of physical and mental tortures before shooting them down. Lt. Saurabh Kalia's skull was fractured and most of the bones and teeth broken. He had a bullet injury in the temple indicating that he was finally shot dead.

History testifies that all great souls suffer. The enemy violated all laws by capturing the Indian troops alive and failed to inform the Indian Army about their POW status. The six Indian men in uniform were subjected to unprecedented brutal torture that violated the Geneva Convention to which both India & Pakistan are signatories.

"Maa, Tum Dekhna Ek Din Aisa Kaam Kar Jaunga Ki Saari Dunia Mein Mera Naam Hoga" -- mother, you will see one day I will do such a deed that the whole world will acknowledge that. At Bareilly (JAT Regiment Centre) Lt. Saurabh Kalia had said, "I am proud that I have joined 4 JAT and one day 4 JAT would be proud that Saurabh Kalia joined this regiment."

On June 12, 1999, Thousands of people, who had assembled at Palampur for the cremation of Lt Saurabh Kalia, bid a tearful farewell to the valiant officer. A five-hour delay in the arrival of the coffin did not deter anyone from braving the scorching heat.

The body of Saurabh Kalia was flown in from Delhi by an Indian Air Force chopper and was received by senior Army officers, the civil authorities and senior politicians at the Army helipad. ``Well done, my son. You have done your job. May every home produce a son like you so that the enemies dare not touch the territorial sanctity of our country,'' said Vijay Kalia as soon as the coffin was taken out off the helicopter. The body was accompanied by Major Sudhir Mohan Kalia, Lt Saurabh Kalia's uncle, who is serving in the mechanized infantry.

The body of the Army officer was then taken in a procession from Holta to Pragati Maidan via the residence of the Kalias(where the religious rites were performed) in Tika Sughar. Army pall bearers led by Col Sarat Sharma, carried the coffin as hundreds of mourners stood on both sides of the road to salute the hero. People showered flowers on the coffin of Lt Kalia as it passed through the town to be taken to the cremation ground. The procession included a convoy of vehicles led by hundreds of scooter-borne youths of Palampur. Cries of ``Saurabh Kalia amar rahe'' rent the sky.

The body, draped in the tri-colour, was taken to the cremation ground. It seemed as if the entire town had assembled to pay respect to the young officer on his final journey. Wreaths were laid on the body on behalf of the President of India, by senior Army officers, the Governor and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh. Former Chief Minister Shanta Kumar, Minister Ravinder Thakur, MLAs Dulo Ram, Vipin Parmar, B.B.L. Butail and Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sat Mahajan also placed wreaths.

Heart-rending scenes were witnessed as the last rites of the officer were performed. A sense of national pride prevailed as people raised slogans like "Saurabh Kalia amar rahe" and also anti-Pakistan slogans. Kalia was given a state funeral with full military honours. The jawans saluted the martyr and sounded the last post as Vaibhav Kalia lit the pyre among the chanting of mantras.

The government decided to name the locality where the house of Lt Kalia is located as Saurabhnagar. The former Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Mr Shanta Kumar, informed that after consultations with the Chief Minister, it had been decided to erect a memorial to Lt Kalia. The land adjoining Neugal Cafe would be used for making this. The road next to the house of Lt Kalia would also be named after him.

In April 2001, the State Government installed a statue of Capt. Kalia at a 12-hectre sprawling environmental theme park called Lt Saurabh Van Vihar in Palampur. Capt. Kalia was a keen environmentalist and birdwatcher.

Today, tourist guide's will probably be rewritten to mention the brave hero of Palampur and Kargil Martyr Captain Saurabh Kalia, whose fate was similar to "Abhimaanyu" of Mahabharata.

M I G-21 A FLYING COFFIN

I came to post this new one when i was going through Shiv Khera's Freedom is not Free. In this paragraph he is describing how corruption has caught the country in its paws. He says that we are living in a nation where broken father, who lost his son for his country, is told by corrupt officials, " Rashtra ko diya, lekin hamein kya diya " when he went to get a petrol pump sanctioned to him. All indian( as i think)have seen the same in movie "Rang de Basanti" that how a mother suffered to prove that her son has done work the country?
MiG series has proved itself as a flying coffin. To work upon it, is the same as putting ur head below the hammer.Till today there are 320 crashes of MiG's with 160 pilots and 40 civilians being killed. These crashes cost the nation around Rs. 1800 crore and more over it the lives of true indians.Several families have lost theis owns.It is said many times that pilots are not enough experienced to control this coffin then why they are commanded to do this.
So Indian Govt. should take suitable steps to stop such incidents so that we don't lose our young pilots anymore.and all indian should pay heed to the corruption which is spreading its demon hands very vigorously in our country(INDIA).Its not like that we can not control it now, because Singapore and U.K. have diminished it by the effort of its countrymen.

Mr. Surjan Singh:The Story of a Indian Hero

During The Attack on Akshardham temple on 24th September 2002 thisBrave Man fought the greatest battle of his life. Yes he was the N.S.G. Commando Late Mr. Surjan Singh, who sacrificed his life for the Nation. Sadly On 19th May 2004 he lost the Toughest and Longestbattle against life exactly after 600 Days being in Coma, he lost this life. The Bullet which hit him in the head made him Unconscious for almost 600 days. His family members were hoping that one day their Hero will open his eyes but he didn't.It was the Longest Wait for the family members of this Brave Man.When the whole India was busy in Guessing Who will be the Next PM of the country - Will it be Sonia or will it be Manmohan Singh, This man was fighting his Last battle. But it's so sad that in the hype of allthe Political Drama, the News about his Death was Lost like a needle ina hay stack! Even the leading News Papers & So Called Best News Channels of India which Works on 24 X 7 basis, failed to highlight thisstoryof the Brave Man. Unfortunately it was mentioned somewhere on the middle page of some newspaper.....This was the Reward for the Brave task for which he lost his life.Besides his Family members, only one thing was there with him during those toughest 600 days. It was there near his bed till the last Moment. Can you guess what it was?............... It was the "Tiranga", yes! Our National Flag, which was saluting him for hisGreat cause. Absolutely No words can suffice our Gratitude towards him...If news papers refuse to cover, TV channels refuse to cover, let us do our bit. Please forward this mail to as many people as you can. Thisis the only way we can salute his Bravery
